Kopeyia Education Fund

Establishment

The Kopeyia Education Fund was established by RootMath to help pay for children to attend school in Ghana, West Africa

Mission

The mission of the fund is to help the people of Kopeyia achieve self-sufficiency through education. Despite overwhelming poverty, the children of Kopeyia graduate from elementary school with high marks. Unfortunately, these knowledge hungry children are unable to attend high-school due to distance and cost. Many of them end up spending the rest of their lives in Kopeyia working as laborers and living in poverty. The Kopeyia Education Fund was established to break this chain of poverty by providing finacial support that will allow these children to attend high school, giving them an opportunity at a better life.

In addition to helping successful students attain higher-education, the Kopeyia Education Fund seeks out high-need children who are unable to attend school at all due to poverty. Many children, as young as 4, are kept from school so they may work to help support the family. The Fund aims to discover and support these high-need cases.
